18 See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many. 19 What kind of land do they live in? Is it good or bad? What kind of towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified? 20 How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees in it or not? Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land.”
I am very sure
we all know the story of the 12 Israelite s who were sent to spy the
land and
explore the possibilities of taking over the Promised Land.
Permit me to
say that going to SPY a ‘promised’ land is simply lack of Faith in whoever
promised you.
And this is
what most of us do! We go ahead to spy our promised land and we begin to device
means and short-cuts into the land.
We forget that
God is not a man that he should lie, nor the Son of Man that he should repent
of his words.
He’d never say
what he can’t do. God isn’t trying to impress anyone!
Stop Spying
and Keep believing!
Trying to
double-check God’s promises isn’t an act of Faith.
In the journey
of Spying, the ‘Lust of the Eye, Lust of the Flesh and the Pride Of Life’ would
always try to assist.
